Earth Month Cleanup at Kahawai This Saturday

 

KAPOLEI, HI – The City's Storm Water Quality Branch of the Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is holding a stream cleanup this Saturday, April 26, in Waimanalo.

 

ENV, in partnership with Hawaii Job Corps Center and Weinberg Village Waimanalo, will be conducting the Kahawai Adopt-A-Stream starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Weinberg Village Waimanalo at 41-490 Saddle City Road.  The cleanup lasts two hours.

 

ENV partners with businesses, schools, public officials, the state and military organizations.  The cleanups will provide educational materials on reducing trash.

           

Participants should be 12 years old or older, dressed to get dirty, and bring the following:  water, hat, old covered shoes and sunscreen.  All participants must sign a release form to participate.
