Honolulu Hale to change color in support of “NO MORE Week” to end domestic violence and sexual assault

Honolulu Hale will be lit in the color aqua evenings during the week of March 9-15, in support of Mayor Caldwell’s proclamation of NO MORE Week in the City and County of Honolulu.

NO MORE Week is a national effort to engage communities to action and raise awareness of issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault, which will include a series of events throughout O‘ahu.

“Domestic violence and sexual assault have devastating impacts on the lives of individuals, families, and entire communities,” said Mayor Caldwell.  “We must do more to address this problem. Initiatives such as NO MORE Week provide a powerful platform to amplify awareness of domestic and sexual violence, and better leverage the resources available to assist its survivors.”

On the local level, this initiative is supported by Hawaii says NO MORE, a group of individuals and organizations throughout the state committed to reflecting Hawaii’s unique culture and community values in its approach to addressing domestic violence and sexual assaults.
