FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                               August 3, 2012   ONLINE CAMPING PERMITS ACCESSIBLE ON MOBILE DEVICES   (Fri., August 3, 2012)—The City's Departments of Parks and Recreation, and Information Technology jointly announce the release of the responsive redesign of camping.honolulu.gov, which will facilitate online camping reservations on mobile devices.                Customers are now able to browse campsites and make reservations from iPhones, iPads, or various Android devices.  They will also be able to register and manage their own accounts from the device.  The Department of Parks and Recreation campsites are accessible online at camping.honolulu.gov.               For more information, contact the City's camping specialist at (808)768-2267, or email your questions as honolulucamping@honolulu.gov.        -30-
