TEMPORARY LANE ADJUSTMENTS ON KAHUHIPA ST. IN KANEOHE

(Thurs., Feb. 10, 2011)—The makai and mauka-bound lanes on Kahuhipa Street between Malina Place and Alaloa Street in Kaneohe will be temporarily adjusted 24 hours per day, for five consecutive days, from Mon., Feb. 14, through Fri., Feb. 18, to facilitate construction of a concrete bus pad on the makai-bound side of Kahuhipa Street.

To accommodate traffic on Kahuhipa Street, the current mauka-bound traffic lanes will be temporarily reconfigured to handle two-way traffic on Kahuhipa Street in each direction between Malina Place and Alaloa Street. No on-street parking will be available on either side of this section of Kahuhipa Street during the construction period.

Motorists are advised to use caution in this segment of Kahuhipa Street during construction and are encouraged to use alternative routes.

Passengers who use the Kahuhipa Street bus stop between Malina Place and Alaloa Street for makai-bound buses should use a temporary bus stop on Kahuhipa Street after Alaloa Street, fronting Auto Care Kaneohe. For more bus information please see www.thebus.org or call 848-5555.
