WATER CONSERVATION LIFTED

FROM RED HILL TO PEARL CITY

(Tues., Feb. 8, 2011) – The City lifted its water conservation advisory to residents and businesses from Red Hill to Pearl City today.

Crews placed one pressurized force main back into service at the Pearl City Sewage Pump Station today.  A contractor continues to repair a break on the second force main.

Crews noticed ponding of sewage behind the Leeward Community College on Friday and Saturday.  City crews worked overnight to extract wastewater upstream of the break and redirect it to the Waipahu Sewage Pump Station, while crews assessed the damage and began repairs.
