04/02/15 Honolulu Hale to change color in support of autism awareness Thursday, April 2, 2015 Contact: Mayor Caldwell's Press Office: 768-5768  Honolulu Hale to change color in support of autism awareness   Honolulu – Honolulu Hale will be lit in the color blue at sunset tonight, Thursday, April 2, in support of World Autism Awareness Day. Honolulu Hale will join with thousands of other iconic landmarks, religious institutions, businesses, and communities in more than 130 countries around the world, shining blue lights to help raise awareness of autism.  Autism is currently estimated to affect 1 in 68 children in the United States. Mayor Kirk Caldwell approved the blue lighting.  Honolulu Hale will remain lit in blue until sunrise tomorrow, Friday, April 3.
