03/19/15 Temporary closure of one comfort station at Sandy Beach Thursday, March 19, 2015 Media Contact: Jon Hennington, PIO, Department of Parks and Recreation, 343-9181 Temporary closure of one comfort station at Sandy Beach Hawai‘i Kai – One of the two comfort stations at Sandy Beach is temporarily closed for sewer line repairs. The Makapu‘u side comfort station was closed on Wednesday after a sewer line leak was detected.  Department of Parks and Recreation maintenance crews are working to repair the leak and expect the station to reopen on Friday. The comfort station on the Hālona Blowhole side of the park will remain open during the repairs. -END-
