03/19/15 Removal of three royal palms in Wahiawā postponed Thursday, March 19, 2015 Media Contact: Jon Hennington, DPR Public Information Officer, 343-9181 Removal of three royal palms in Wahiawā postponed Honolulu – The removal of three royal palms from Royal Palm Drive in Wahiawā scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, March 20, 2015, has been delayed due to a mechanical problem experienced by the tree care company retained by the City and County of Honolulu to perform the extraction.  Municipal arborists from the city's Division of Urban Forestry have determined that these palms warrant removal due to their declining condition.  These palms have already been replaced in anticipation of their removal. An announcement will be issued when the tree care company is able to perform the work. -END-
