O'ahu Heart Walk rescheduled for October 4

Event was postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Iselle

Kapi'olani Park – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the American Heart Association announced today that the O'ahu Heart Walk has been rescheduled for October 4, 2014 at Kapi'olani Park.  The event, originally scheduled for August 9, was postponed when all city parks were closed due to the threat of Hurricane Iselle.

DPR had previously announced a make-up date in September, however a conflict later became apparent, necessitating this move to October 4.  DPR sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience as they accommodate the emergency rescheduling.

More details are available on the Oahu Heart Walk's web site www.oahuheartwalk.org, the American Heart Association Hawaii Division's Facebook site (www.facebook.com/HeartHawaii), or by calling the American Heart Association at 538-7021.

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association are devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke – America's No. 1 and No. 4 killers. The organization teams with millions of volunteers to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat these diseases. The Dallas-based American Heart Association is the nation's oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke.
