| Monday, May 5, 2014 Contact: Austin Braaten, Park Grounds Improvement Supervisor II, 971-7151 16th Avenue tree removal and pruning to begin tomorrow Kaimuki – Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 6, 2014, a tree care company hired by the city will begin removal of one mature Mahogany tree on the 1100 block of 16th Avenue, near Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki. Municipal arborists working for the city's Division of Urban Forestry (DUF) have determined that the tree warrants removal to allow for sidewalk repair. The contractor will also prune the two trees adjacent to the Mahogany tree. The work will require one lane of traffic to be intermittently closed and is expected to be completed by Thursday, May 8, 2014. -END- |
