PAKI AVENUE TRAFFIC ADVISORY - TREE PRUNING

(Tues., March 20, 2012)—Maintenance pruning of the Exceptional Monkeypod trees on both sides of Paki Avenue, between Kapahulu and Monsarrat Avenues, will begin tomorrow (Wednesday) and is expected to be completed by Thursday, March 29.  The pruning will be performed by a Department of Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry Division contractor.

Lane closures will occur in the curb lane, and intermittently in the center lane, to allow the contractor access to the trees and to safely complete the removal of the branches.  During the closure, motorists are encouraged to exercise caution and avoid Paki Avenue, using Kalakaua and Leahi Avenues as alternate routes.
