MORE THAN 900 CITY WORKERS VACCINATED FOR FLU THIS YEAR

(Tues., Oct. 25, 2011)—More than 900 City employees have received free flu vaccination shots through a series of clinics conducted by the Department of Human Resources in Honolulu and Kapolei.

"This is a project we strongly support," said City Managing Director Doug Chin. "We value our employees and the contributions they make to the City. These clinics are a great way to promote wellness and assist our employees in staying healthy during the winter months."

The City and County of Honolulu was recently recognized for its efforts to promote wellness when it was named a 2011 large business finalist for the Healthiest Employer Awards contest held by Pacific Business News.
