KAILUA BEACH PARK BOAT RAMP TO REOPEN SUNDAY   (Wed., Aug. 10, 2011) – Temporary closure of the Kailua Beach Park boat ramp and adjacent parking lot will be extended an additional day.  Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) crews will begin pouring concrete to shore up and repair areas of the ramp on Friday (Aug. 12), and curing of the concrete will take an additional day, according to DPR Director Gary Cabato.    The boat ramp should be open and ready for public use by Sunday, August 14, said Cabato.    For more information, contact District Director Miles Hazama, 233-7300.   -30-    Media contact: Miles Hazama, Department of Parks and Recreation, 233-7300.
