Kawai Nui Model Airplane Field closure KAILUA – The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction for security purposes during President Barack Obama's visit to Hawaii, which applies to outdoor model aircraft operations. As a result, the city's Kawai Nui Model Airplane Field will be closed, including the parking lot, tomorrow through Sunday, January 5, 2014, subject to change.
