THANKSGIVING WEEKEND CAMPING PERMITS AVAILABLE WEDNESDAY

 

(Mon., Nov. 8, 2010) – City camping permits for the Thanksgiving weekend will be available beginning this Wed., Nov. 10, but permit offices will be closed on Thurs., Nov. 11 for the Veterans' Day holiday and Fri., Nov. 12 for a previously scheduled furlough day.

Thanksgiving weekend permits will cover Nov. 26 through Nov. 30.

There is no fee to camp at City campsites, but permits are required.  Permits are issued from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Parks Permits Section on the ground floor of the Fasi Municipal Building at 650 South King Street; Kapolei Satellite City Hall at 1000 Uluohia Street; and Wahiawa Satellite City Hall at 330 North Cane Street.

Camping permits are issued on a first come, first served basis.  Each applicant must apply in person and be at least 18 years old.  Applicants are limited to one permit each, which allows a maximum of ten persons, children included, and two family sized tents to be erected.
