(Tues., Sept. 7, 2010)—Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell today announced that the City's Department of Community Services will hold a special informational meeting to solicit input from the community about prioritizing funding for Grant In Aid projects.

"It is very important to protect taxpayer money and plan our spending wisely so we can continue providing the important services that our residents expect and deserve," Caldwell said.

Grant In Aid projects address community needs regarding housing, human services, urban revitalization and community development. Approximately $650,000 will be available in the current fiscal year.

The meeting will be held this Thursday, September 9, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Park.
