MEDIA ALERT: UPDATED REFUSE COLLECTION FOR AREAS OF OAHU (Mon., Oct. 17, 2011) – The City's Department of Environmental Services (ENV) was unable to fully service both refuse (gray) and mixed recyclable (blue) carts this past Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14-15, respectively, in various parts of Oahu. Residents whose gray carts were not collected this past Friday and Saturday in the Kahala to Hawaii Kai area are asked to leave their carts curbside to be picked up today. Residents whose blue carts were not serviced last week in the Newtown, Aiea, Halawa, Iroquis Point and Ewa Beach vicinities are asked to place their blue carts back on their properties and hold them till the next collection date in two weeks.
