02/13/15 Seismic retrofit of Kawailoa Road Bridge to begin Feb. 17 Friday, February 13, 2015 Mayor Caldwell's Press Office: 768-5768  Seismic retrofit of Kawailoa Road Bridge to begin Feb. 17  Kailua – Contractor Triton Marine Construction Corp. will begin work to make the Kawailoa Road Bridge more resistant to seismic activity on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.  The $259,121 project includes the inspection of all concrete surfaces of the bridge, removal of deteriorated concrete, and preparation of reinforced steel.  Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. excluding holidays, with an anticipated completion date of April 15, 2015.  The project may impact roadways and traffic in Kailua and motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe all traffic control devices. -END-
