ROYAL HAWAIIAN BAND CELEBRATES 175 YEARS
(Thurs., Nov. 10, 2011)---Join the Royal Hawaiian Band's 175th birthday celebration and musical concert at the Farrington High School Auditorium on Tuesday, November 22, at 7 p.m. The special performance, entitled "E mau aku ana ki kakou ho'oilina," Our Legacy Lives On, showcases the vital role the band has played in The spectacular musical and multimedia experience will feature award-winning artists Raiatea Helm, Nina Keali'iwahamana, Karen Keawehawai'i, and Misty Kela'i. The Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus, and former bandmasters Aaron Mahi and Michael Nakasone, join bandmaster Clarke Bright in this historical tribute to the "King's Band."
