GREASE CAUSES SANITARY SEWER OVERFLOW IN (Sat., Dec. 4, 2010) The City's Department of Environmental Services responded late Friday night to a sanitary sewer overflow in The call came in at 11:00 p.m. An ENV crew arrived at the scene at 11:35 p.m. with the site secured at 12:10 a.m. Saturday morning. Grease clogged a 10-inch vitrified clay sewer pipe causing the overflow from a manhole at the intersection of Awamoi and ENV notified the state Department of Health and the U.S. Navy. The affected area has been cleaned, disinfected and deodorized. Signing and water sampling will begin at dawn.
