Outdoor Warning Sirens to be tested tomorrow  The City Department of Emergency Management in conjunction with Hawaii State Civil Defense will be the testing outdoor siren warning system in the vicinity of Hauula Beach Park on Oahu tomorrow October 14, 2010 from 9:30 AM until 12:00 PM.  This test is being conducted to ensure that this siren is operating at full power and providing optimal range. Residents and businesses in the surrounding communities may hear several 20-second siren soundings during the testing periods.  Hawaii State Civil Defense funds the purchase and installation of these sirens.  Once they are installed, they are released to the City for monthly testing and emergency activation. --END-- Contact: Peter H.
