BLAISDELL CENTER CONCERT HALL TREATED FOR TERMITES TODAY(Wed., Oct. 6, 2010)The City's Neal S. Blaisdell Center Concert Hall is being "tented" covered with sealing tarpsand fumigated today to eliminate termites and other pests. The work, valued at $125,000, is being performed by Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell thanked "In these tough times, it's wonderful that a local company has stepped up to help us maintain and preserve this wonderful public facility," The sealing tarps are being installed throughout the day, and fumigation is scheduled to begin in the early evening. No one will be admitted to the building until the work is completed.
