Thursday, November 20, 2014 Mayor Caldwell's Press Office: 768-5768 (cell 489-0341) Honolulu City Lights holiday tree arrives at Honolulu Hale Honolulu The City and County of Honolulu's holiday tree arrived at Honolulu Hale this morning, where it was installed on the lawn fronting South King Street. Councilmembers Stanley Chang and Brandon Elefante were on hand to assist in the installation of the tree. The 50-foot Norfolk Pine was donated by Pearl City resident Steven Dumbrique and will be part of the annual Honolulu City Lights celebration. 2014 marks the 30th year of Honolulu City Lights and Emme Tomimbang will return to emcee the Tree Lighting Ceremony on opening night, Saturday, December 6th, beginning at 6 p.m. The tree lighting will be followed by the Electric Light Parade, which is dedicated to the memory of the late "Parade Man" Nelson Fujio. Tom Moffatt Productions will hold a holiday concert by Sky Gate beginning at 7:30 p.m. Willie K headlines an entertainment lineup that includes the Sounds of Aloha Barbershop Chorus, the keiki from Joan S. Lindsey's Halau and Ka Pa Nani O Lilinoe, Maunalua, and Hawaii singer Ciana Pelekai from America's Got Talent.
