Wednesday, October 15, 2014 Contact: Jon Hennington, PIO, Department of Parks and Recreation, 768-3046 26th Annual Talk Story Festival postponed until November 7 and 8 due to Tropical Storm Ana Ala Moana In anticipation of approaching Tropical Storm Ana, the Department of Parks and Recreation will postpone the 26th Annual Talk Story Festival until November 7 and 8, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. each night at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Regional Park. Originally scheduled for October 16 and 17, Talk Story Festival is Hawai'i's oldest and largest storytelling celebration. Nine storytellers each night share the stage for 20 minutes each, accompanied by sign language interpreters. Gates open at 5 p.m. This event regularly draws large crowds, so guests are encouraged to come early. -END- |
