CARLISLE TO LEAD 9/11 REMEMBRANCE WALK (Fri., August 31, 2012) The walk will include members of the Honolulu Police, Fire, Emergency Services and Emergency Management departments, elected officials, and other City personnel. The procession will be led by a police motorcycle formation, color guard, Celtic Drums and Pipes, Mayor Carlisle and other dignitaries, and wreath bearers. The Remembrance Walk will begin at 5 p.m. with a blessing and wreath presentation at the Honolulu Police Department headquarters at 801 South Beretania Street. Participants will proceed ewa on Beretania Street, then makai on Alapai and South streets to the Honolulu Fire Department headquarters at South and Queen streets for a wreath presentation and bell ringing ceremonies. The procession will then continue on Queen Street, go mauka on Punchbowl Street to Honolulu Hale, where the Royal Hawaiian Band will perform near the Eternal Flame on the front lawn.
