RAGS, NEWSPAPERS CAUSE SEWER OVERFLOW(Tue., June 5, 2012) The City's Department of Environmental Services responded this morning to a sanitary sewer overflow in Kalihi. Rags and newspapers clogged an 8-inch sewer pipe causing 1,225 gallons of untreated wastewater out a manhole at The call came in at 9:55 a.m. and an ENV crew secured the site at 10:24 a.m. ENV notified the state Department of Health.
