HPD SEEKING PUBLIC COMMENT FOR NATIONAL REACCREDITATION
A national accreditation team will accept public comments on the Honolulu Police Department's (HPD) policies and procedures, administration, operations, and services on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The comments will be part of an on-site assessment conducted by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The public is invited to phone in comments or attend a public comment session on Wednesday, April 25. Telephonic comments will be taken at 479-5675 from 3 to 5 p.m. The public comment session will begin at 6 p.m. at the HPD's Persons wanting to submit written comments about the HPD may write to the CALEA at Phone calls, appearances, and letters should address the HPD's ability to comply with CALEA accreditation standards.
