NEW SOLAR FARM GUIDELINES SPEED UP PERMIT PROCESS   (Wednesday, April 25, 2012) — The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) has published new guidelines for proposed solar farm installations.               The new DPP guidelines will streamline the process and provide objective criteria that will help solar power companies and landowners determine for themselves whether a Conditional Use Permit will likely be required for their project.  This will save time and resources for projects that require only a building permit.               The guidelines are available at the DPP website, www.honoluludpp.org   -30-   Media contact: Jamie Peirson, DPP Land Use Approval Branch, 768-8014.
