THE EWA DEVELOPMENT PLAN UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW   (Wed., October 12, 2011) — The Department of Planning and Permitting announced today that the Ewa Development Plan Review Report is available for public review and comment.  The report includes recommendations for revisions to the Ewa Development Plan and improvements to implementation of the Plan vision and policies.  The Report responds to public comments and suggestions collected from five public workshops, more than 20 community interviews, and over 60 letters and e-mails.               The Ewa Development Plan update is third in a series of required Development Plan and Sustainable Communities Plan reviews that have been sent to the Planning Commission in the last year.               The Department of Planning and Permitting will make presentations and distribute copies of the Report and proposed revised Plan at the Ewa Neighborhood Board meeting on October 13 and at the Makakilo/Kapolei/Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board meeting on October 26.               In addition, a public information meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 at Kapolei Hale.  Registration and talk story will begin at 6 p.m.               The Review Report, proposed revised Ewa Development Plan, and draft adopting ordinance are available online at http://www.honoluludpp.org/planning/DevSust_Ewa.asp. The documents are also available at the Kapolei Hale Satellite City Hall, Kapolei Public Library, and the Ewa Beach Public Library.
