CHRISTMAS DAY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE (Mon., Dec. 17, 2010)—City government offices will be closed Fri., Dec. 24, 2010, in observance of the Christmas holiday. - Emergency ambulance, fire, lifeguard and police services will be provided.
- The People's Open Markets will be open on Dec. 24 but closed on Christmas Day.
- Refuse will NOT be collected and transfer stations, convenience centers and the landfill will be closed on Christmas Day.
- Handi-Van service will operate on its weekend schedule.
- City buses will operate on a SUNDAY schedule on Christmas Day.
- All satellite city halls will be closed.
- The Neal Blaisdell box office will be closed.
- The Pali and West Loch golf courses will be open on Christmas Day from 7:00 - 11:00 a.m. for 18 holes and 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for 9 holes. Kahuku is open 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 25. Ala Wai, Ted Makalena and Ewa Villages will be closed on Christmas Day
- The Botanical gardens and Honolulu Zoo will be open on Dec. 24 and closed on Christmas Day.
These traffic and parking regulations will be in effect on Friday: - On-street parking will be free, except for the meters on Kalakaua Avenue along Kapiolani Park.
- Parking will be permitted in tow-away zones where it is allowed on holidays.
- There will be no coning of commuter traffic lanes.
- Traffic signals at Kalakaua Avenue and Kapiolani will be three-phase to permit mauka-bound traffic to turn left onto Kapiolani Boulevard.
- Parking in municipal lots will NOT be free.
