LANDFILL TEMPORARILY  CLOSED TO PUBLIC   (Friday, Dec. 24, 2010) – The City's Department of Environmental Services (ENV) will temporarily discontinue access to the Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill to the public starting Sunday, Dec. 26, through, Wed., Dec. 29. Commercial and City trucks will still be accepted at the landfill, and the public is allowed to drop off their waste to any City Convenience Center. Depending upon the weather, public restriction to the landfill may be extended beyond Dec. 29.     -30-     Contact:  Markus Owens, ENV Public Communications Officer, 768-3454
