Monday, October 27, 2014 Contact Mayor Caldwell's press office: 768-5768 Public hearing scheduled for proposed disabled parking rule changes Honolulu The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Transportation Services will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 29 at 9 a.m. to receive comments and facilitate public discussion on proposed changes to parking rules for the disabled. Ordinance 14-25 was implemented on July 23, 2014, pursuant to the repeal of certain sections of Chapter 15 of the city traffic code intended to implement state laws relating to parking for persons with disabilities, and to make conforming amendments, as needed. The public hearing will be held in the conference room of the Mission Memorial Building, located on the first floor at 550 S. King Street, and the city welcomes input from members of the public on the changes in parking policies and privileges effected by Ordinance 14-25. Copies of the ordinance are available for use and examination by the public during regular business hours at the Department of Transportation Services, 650 S.
