FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Monday, September 29, 2014 Media Contact:  Markus Owens, ENV Public Information Officer, 768-3454     Kapakahi Adopt-A-Stream this Saturday   HONOLULU – The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) Storm Water Quality Branch is partnering with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources to host the Kapakahi Adopt-A-Stream at Pouhala Marsh Saturday, October 4, as part of Make-A-Difference Month.         Volunteers need to check-in by 8:30 a.m. at Pouhala Marsh.  The event concludes at 1:00 p.m.         ENV partners with businesses, schools, public officials, the state and military organizations.  The cleanup will provide educational materials on reducing trash.             Participants should dress to get dirty and bring the following:  water, hat, old covered shoes and sunscreen.  All participants must sign a release form to participate.         For a release form or more information on the ENV's storm water community service activities, logon to www.cleanwaterhonolulu.com/storm/hero/adopt.html or call Ciress Quidilla or Renee Wallace-Silberstein, Storm Water Community Relations Specialists, at 768-3267 or 768-3285.     -END-
