IRONWOOD TREE PRUNING AND REMOVAL AT  KAIAKA AND HALEIWA BEACH PARKS   (Fri., September 14, 2012) — A Division of Urban Forestry contractor will begin work on Monday, September 17, 2012, to remove 17 and prune 25 ironwood trees at Kaiaka Beach Park in Haleiwa. An additional ironwood tree will be removed from Haleiwa Beach Park. Replanting with shade trees will take place shortly thereafter.   The trees were recently inspected by staff arborists and were determined to warrant removal due to severe structural defects.
