PRODUCTION GRANT PROPOSALS DUE ON MAY 15   (Thu., May 10, 2012) − The Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts reminds applicants that the deadline for Mayor's Production Grants proposals is Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Cultural and arts organizations seeking support for the creation of newly developed artistic works or the preservation of cultural heritage through artistic works can apply for the production grant which awards up to $5,000 to assist organizations in the fields of dance, theater, music, short film, and literature (to include language.)   The grants will be awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu for projects benefiting Oahu residents. Grant support is intended to provide partial funding for a project. Grants are limited and highly competitive.   To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be a tax-exempt, publicly supported, and charitable organization by determination of the IRS.
