| HART STATEMENT REGARDING CONTINUED FEDERAL SUPPORT FOR HONOLULU RAIL TRANSIT PROJECT (Thu., March 15, 2012) − HART board chairwoman Carrie Okinaga and interim executive director Toru Hamayasu issued the following statement in response to comments made today by U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood regarding his continued commitment to the Honolulu rail project: "We are grateful for the continued support of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. His testimony today before the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development reinforces the federal commitment to seeing the project through.
