FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                          March 23, 2012   HANAUMA BAY NATURE PRESERVE PARKING LOT RESURFACING   (Thurs., March 23, 2012) –The Department of Parks and Recreation will close half of the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve public parking  lot (approximately 143 parking stalls) all day on Wednesday and Thursday, March 28 and 29, 2012, for necessary resurfacing.  The repair work will be limited to the upper portion of the parking lot only.  The beach and scenic lookout areas will remain open.                Weather permitting, the resurfacing should be completed by Friday, March 30, 2012.     -30-   Media Contact: Hanauma Bay Manager Tara Hirohata, 395-2211.
