WET WEATHER OVERFLOW AT KANEOHE PRE-TREATMENT FACILITY (Fri., March 9, 2012) Severe weather conditions on the Windward side of Oahu this morning caused a sanitary sewer overflow at the City's Kaneohe Wastewater Preliminary Treatment Facility.6,110 gallons of combined storm water and raw wastewater into Kawa Stream, which leads to Kaneohe Bay. The Untreated wastewater began overflowing from the facility's manholes at 6:25 a.m. and was secured at 9:00 a.m. The wet weather flows surcharged manholes located inside the facility and sent an estimated state Department of Health was notified, as the island is still under a Brown Water Advisory.
