MAYOR SALUTES VETERANS AND HEALTH CARE SERVICES (Thurs., Nov. 3, 2011)Mayor Peter Carlisle today honored all U.S. service veterans and saluted the health care services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs Spark M. Matsunaga Medical Center in Honolulu. At a ceremony in his office, Carlisle proclaimed November 3, 2011 VA Pacific Islands Health Care System Day in the City and County of Honolulu, and presented certificates of recognition to nine veterans from the Wounded Warriors Project to honor their dedicated service and sacrifices.
