WINDWARD CITY LIGHTS CELEBRATION THIS SATURDAY (Mon., November 21, 2011)Mayor Peter B. Carlisle, Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay, and the Windward City Lights Committee invite everyone to the 6th Annual Windward City Lights celebration on Saturday, November 26, 2011. The corners of Kamehameha Highway and Waikalua Road will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the festivities, which begin at 5 p.m. The event features food and craft booths, free keiki rides, visits with Santa and great entertainment. The concert line-up includes Ka‛eha, The Hasselhoffs, Jimmy Weeks, the Arnold Alconcel Jazz Quartet, the Royal Hawaiian Band Glee Club, with emcees Tom Landeza and Frank Cabacungan. Motorists will be directed to the open field behind Benjamin Parker School for parking, which is accessible through Waikalua Road and other alternative routes. Waikalua Road will be closed to traffic beginning at 1 p.m. The celebration is sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu, Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay, and the Friends of Windward City Lights.
