VEHICLE REGISTRATION RENEWAL NOTICE REPLACES APPLICATION   (Mon., May 16, 2011) − All counties will start sending motor vehicle renewal notices instead of registration renewal applications beginning with the May 17 mailing for June 2011 renewals.  The City and County of Honolulu will save approximately $115, 500 by replacing the application form and eliminating the return envelope.   The new renewal notice contains all the renewal information that is currently on the renewal application form.  The breakdown of registration fees and taxes for vehicles is available online at http://www3.honolulu.gov/mvrfeeinq.  Vehicle registration renewal can also be completed online at www.hiplates.com saving time and postage.   - 30-   Contact: Dennis Kamimura, Driver Licensing Administrator, Department of Customer Services, 532-4384.
